The City of York is believed to have been inhabited as long ago as 8000BC to 7000BC by the Brigantes tribe. It was invaded by the Roman Empire in AD71 and became the capital of Britannia Inferior. Today, this wonderful city is one of the most popular historical cities to visit here in England.

York is a walled city situated at the juncture of two rivers, the Ouse and the Foss in Northern England. This city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events during the last two millennia. The city is renowned for its exquisite architecture, cobbled streets and the iconic york Minster.
