Guided london walking tours

Now you may have read elsewhere on our website, that a taxi is the best way to see the sights of London rather than a lumbering, fully loaded tour bus. Whilst this is true, there are also many places of interest that even a taxi cannot access.

The City of London hides many hidden treasures

These include the secluded Paternoster Square once the sight of a medieval meat market now a bright open public space surrounded by spectacular buildings old and new, the London Stock Exchange, Wren’s Chapter House and the only surviving City gate recently renovated and restored to it’s former glory.

You will discover some of the City of London’s hidden gems, places such as Postmans Park, the gardens of St. Mary Aldermanbury, Fredericks Place (once the work place of Benjamin Disraeli & Edwin Waterhouse). The church of St Mary-le-Bow (home to the ‘Curfew Bell) is another. Take a wander along the Bastion Highwalk of London Wall and receive an insight in to Roman London as you view some of the last remaining remnants of the Roman Wall that once surrounded the City, the list really is endless.

How about stopping along the way for a refreshing beverage in a pub that was once the sight of London’s first coffee shop? It’s all possible with this alternative way to see our City.

Tour duration: approximately 2 hours

As always, we are flexible and accommodating of all your requirements. But as a suggestion, why not arrange a tour in a cab for a while, stop for lunch and beverages, and then finish with a beneficial constitutional walk whilst you visit some of the hidden gems that the City of London has to offer, with one of our Qualified London Walking Guides? Your taxi can be on-hand to take you home in comfort, at the end of your day.

As always, have your camera ready!!
